Choose one of the routes planned for the city of Itabira (MG) and take an audio-guided tour through some stations of the “Museu de Território Caminhos Drummondianos”, with poems by the Brazilian writer Carlos Drummond de Andrade.

The application “Caminhos Drummondianos – Audio guided Route” is available in 3 languages (Portuguese, English and Spanish) and allows the tour using the geolocation of your device. The audio tracks can be played manually or automatically, when you approach one of the points of interest on the chosen route. While listening to the information, it is possible to see pictures of the attraction. The maps present an aerial view of the city and help to understand how the city is constituted.

The app also features accessible content for visual impaired people, through exclusive tracks with audio description, and videos in LIBRAS (Brazilian Sign Language) with subtitles, to serve deaf people.

If you are not in Itabira (MG), no problem. Take a virtual tour, choosing points of interest from a list of all listed attractions.

The application was made possible thanks to the support of UNESCO, the Instituto Cultural Vale and the City Hall of Itabira, and was fully produced by NEOCULTURA.
Enjoy the audio tour!

The app is GPS enabled. This is used to show you relevant content based on your location. Please note that you do not have to be in Itabira (MG) in order to access any of the content in the app.

The app also uses Location Services and Bluetooth Low Energy to determine your location when the app is running in the background. It will trigger notifications when you are close to a location of interest. We have used GPS and Bluetooth Low Energy in a power-efficient way: such as only performing Bluetooth Low Energy scans when you are close to a location that uses Bluetooth Beacons. However, as with all apps that use location, please note that continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
